[With the grace of a master, he holds the chopsticks and easily picks up a piece of food and brings it to his mouth.

[What is this sorcery? Did Jirou charm those chopsticks—no, that's doesn't make sense.]

Okay, but how about rice?

[It can't be that easy with rice, right?!]

[He shows him by lifting his rice bowl up toward his mouth and then using the chopsticks to lift a good portion to his mouth.

Easy.]

[HE HAS SO MANY QUESTIONS RIGHT NOW.

Good thing that he hasn't planned on eating much anyway...the way he's holding the chopsticks (he's been watching Jirou eating with them, but that's not enough, apparently) he won't be able to pick anything up from the plate, let alone putting it into mouth.]

I-I can do it...you just eat and don't mind me.

[He laughs and sets down his food and chopsticks so he can move closer to Gilbert. Wrapping his arms around him, he helps to situate the chopsticks right then keeps holding his hand to guide him through it.]

There we go. Open wide.

[Gilbert swallows, his eyes following the hand that's guided by Jirou.]

Y-You don't have to feed me, really...

[That said, he opens his mouth a little while after, making an "aaah" sound, too.]

[In the food goes!]

See how that feels? Now you try!

Eh? Me? Okay, I guess...

[Pretty sure that this is what Jirou meant, he tries not to shift the position of his fingers too much and actually manages to take a piece of fish with the chopsticks, but his intention isn't to eat it himself. Instead, he puts it close Jirou's mouth. His hand is shaking a bit, so it's a miracle it hasn't fallen yet...]

O-Open wide.

[That's...not even close to what he meant. But you know what? He's rolling with this. Jirou opens his mouth and moves forward to get that piece in his mouth before it falls. By some miracle honestly.

Chewing, he leans over to give him a kiss on the cheek.]

See? You just need practice.

[That chaste kiss on the cheek is enough to take him by surprise and make him drop the chopsticks. Oh, Gilbert...]

It seems like it...

[Let him scoop them immediately and try to put some food into Jirou's mouth once more. Apparently, he prefers feeding someone than being fed.]

What would you like next?

[Gilbert.

You are too precious for words.

So Jirou closes his eyes.]

Surprise me.

[Open mouth!]

[Watching Jiroutachi's eyes close, a simple thought crosses his mind.

What if...

For a longer while his eyes are fixed on the chopsticks he's holding before they move onto Jirou.

He might be inexperienced, he might not completely understand what he's feeling right now or what should he do...no, what he wants to do. What he should do is to feed Jirou, but what he wants...well, it's something different. But it has something in common with hunger.

Since his mouth is open wide, Gilbert has a hard time deciding how should he do it but in the end, he leans in and places a soft kiss on his lower lip.]

Did he just INITIATE a kiss?

Jirou's eyes flutter open and he stares at him in surprise. He's been the one to initiate everything so far so this is a shock to his system! So, he pauses before...]

Another please. That one tasted good.

[MOUTH CLOSED THIS TIME.]

[He should have figured out that one kiss wouldn't be enough.]

Don't push your luck, Jirou...Ji-chan.

[Smiling to himself, Gilbert does indeed lean forward for another kiss...but it's on the cheek, this time around.]

[He pouts but he's still pleased with the kiss he did get.]

It was yummy too.

[He takes a sip of sake then goes to hold up another piece for Gil to eat. Because he might enjoy being fed but they're eating together here okay.]

[It strikes him as sort of weird when Jirou's words and expression don't really match. Gilbert chomps on the food he has been offered and lays his eyes on the sake.

His idea of being affectionate doesn't involve kisses, but maybe that's a mistake. It's clearly what Jiroutachi wants, so...]

But not as...yummy...as the previous one, right?

[He is truly happy either way but Gil falls for everything SO EASILY that sometimes he forgets that. So don't mind him.]

The surprise was definitely the yummiest so far.

The surprise, huh...

[Well, there's another one going your way, Ji-chan! Gilbert presses his forehead against Jirou's and mutters:]

H-How come it's so easy for you...this whole kissing thing, I mean.

[sakeplz]

[Well this is unexpected. Jiroutachi blinks in surprise (this seems to be an ongoing thing with him today when it comes to Gilbert) and looks at him a moment before setting down his chopsticks to cup that pretty face with both his hands.]

What do you think about when you kiss me?

[Jiroutachi isn't alone in blinking because that's exactly what Gil does after hearing that question. It's a good one, but as much as he's trying to focus, answering isn't that easy.]

Are you insane...I can't even think straight when we're so close.

[Once, for a change, instead of flailing and denying things he tells him the truth.]

[He bursts out laughing. He's not trying to be cruel though! It's just...Gil. That is so adorable it hurts.]

Then what is the difficulty? You'll have to share with me what you're thinking about!

[This is what he gets for being honest!]

I think that if I do that, it'll make you happy...you like kissing, after all.

[He experienced this first hand...]

......well yes. But you make me happy with something as simple as sitting next to me too.

[He tilts his head cutely. The cute part isn't intentional though!]

Do you not like kissing?

[Gilbert can't argue with that, but there's something that doesn't feel right. He remembers Jirou's expression from before quite well. It was slightly different from what he has seen before...or maybe it was just his imagination?]

That's not it...it's just sort of...new.

[As new as it could be with Jirou giving him a kiss from time to time, at least.]

No, it's not what I meant...this, this is new.

[He takes Jirou's hand in his own and presses it against his own chest to make him feel his heart pounding wildly.]

Damn, that's not exactly new either...I've been feeling this for a while...

[HE'S STRUGGLING SO MUCH.]

Uh, screw it.

[The realization dawns on him finally; he's really thinking too much into it. While his voice sounds rather resigned, Gilbert doesn't pull away. Quite the opposite—he tilts his head to the side to kiss Jirou once again.]

[Gil...can be so bad at explaining things. To Jirou's credit though, he really is trying to understand. He's even patiently listening while his new partner tries to explain things to him.

So this is new. And Gil's just not used to it? He wants and likes kisses but he hasn't figured out when to do them?

Or how to do them right?

He thinks that's what he means?

Oh. His heart is pounding. Jirou looks down at his chest then looks up just in time to see the other lean in to kiss him again. It might not be the most expert of kisses but he doesn't mind that. It's a Gilbert kiss and it has a lot of feeling in it. That's important to him as he accepts it then leans forward to return it.

Only way to get better at kissing is to do it!]
